The tour Tarantabella 2012, intends to tell in an increasingly attractive language, the social aspects which are characterizing our times, with a repertoire that embraces a single common denominator with other songs taken from the immense treasure of our popular music
Music captures these emotions like few other art forms.
A strong wind blows on young people with ethnic music. It is growing stronger thanks to a new spirit. A greater awareness in one’s abilities. The strength of this wind must try to break down any social and ideological fence between north and south, creating a possibly unique spirit. The presence of musical styles, texts and sounds from all over the Mediterranean area testify how much is strong the desire to break down every wall and show ourselves to the world and to its cultures without prejudice.
The band Luna Nova (ex Terra di Calabria), with its incredibly heterogeneous staff, wants to combine the sounds of popular origins such as: the piano organ, the magic lyre, the sound of the tambourine with more modern and current sounds, all with the enthralling strength of the Calabrian ritual dance which is the tarantella and the pizzica from Puglia. The final sound is the ethnic music enhanced to the nth degree, that is the popular music that comes from one’s own village and is contaminated with the influences from all over the world
The energy is the one of eight musicians from various musical experiences that convey, in a full energy and rhythm, our stories of the past, so that they can be always present in our memory and in the new generations.
